Welcome to the division of hematology and medical oncology in the department of medicine at the University of Florida College of Medicine – Jacksonville. Our division is dedicated to patient care, clinical research and teaching.

Patient Care
We collaborate with the UF Health Proton Therapy Institute and surgical oncology to provide comprehensive cancer care to our patients. The institute offers combined modality in collaboration with surgical oncology and radiation oncology treatment for cancers of the breast, GI tract, head and neck, lung, prostate and Hodgkin’s disease.
Education
Our division offers an ACGME accredited hematology and medical oncology fellowship program.
The division is also involved in the department of medicine’s internal medicine residency program and undergraduate medical education elective/clerkship courses for third- and fourth-year medical students.
Research
Our division is committed to fostering research by its faculty and residents. This institution has been engaged in clinically applied research for many years and is enriched by the presence of faculty who have demonstrated excellence in performing research and training new investigators.
The research interests of the division focus on participation in prospective clinical trials in all types of adult cancers, including solid tumor cancers and blood disorders and non-cancerous blood diseases, including sickle cell disease and coagulation disorders. A dedicated clinical research coordinator is available for enrollment in various ongoing clinical trials.
