In alignment with the Association of Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine Program Directors (APCCMPD), our national professional society, and to ensure a uniform interview process equitable to all applicants, our fellowship interviews for applicants in 2023-2024 will be held exclusively virtually. We will not offer in-person site visits. The full recommendation is available here.
Programs and Tools that Assist with GME Applications
At the University of Florida College of Medicine – Jacksonville, we recognize that there are a variety of programs and tools that applicants can and may choose to utilize to develop portions of their GME application, such as the personal statement. We wish to emphasize that the personal statement should reflect an accurate picture of the applicant’s experiences, character, motivations, and qualities. Applicants should include specifics relevant to a medical career, a certain specialty, and a particular program. A genuine and authentic personal statement should be the goal. Most medical schools provide important guidance and resources in writing successful personal statements; we recommend reviewing these tips.
