(M.D.) Program Director Welcome to the Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine Fellowship Program within the division of pulmonary, critical care and sleep medicine in the department of medicine at the University of Florida College of Medicine – Jacksonville. This three-year program offers outstanding training and is accredited through the Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education, or ACGME. Our fellowship aims to facilitate the development of important skills in the effective practice of pulmonary and critical care medicine. These include professional relationship-building with colleagues and staff, teaching and presentation skills, independent decision-making and administrative skills. To develop these skills, graded levels of responsibility are woven into the curriculum over the course of the one year. In general, it encompasses the areas of teaching, patient care, management and research.
