How to Apply

Internal Medicine Residency

For specific eligibility requirements, please refer to GME benefits, requirements and resources. Please see our listing in FREIDA.

Our residency program only accepts applications through the AAMC's Electronic Residency Application Service (ERAS). ERAS collects the required materials and then transmits these documents from your medical school to our residency program. We do not require any materials beyond the ERAS requirements. The University of Florida College of Medicine – Jacksonville department of medicine in Jacksonville also participates in the National Residency Matching Program.

The following required documents must be provided to ERAS:

  • ERAS common application form
  • A personal statement
  • Three letters of recommendation from physicians who are familiar with your work or abilities
  • Dean's letter (downloaded from your school on November 1st)
  • Official medical school transcript
  • USMLE or COMLEX score report
  • Curriculum vitae

Please do not mail any documents to us unless we request them from you directly.

Deadline

The deadline for submitting your completed application is December 31st.

Zoom Interviews

The Zoom Interview Day begins at 9:00 am and ends at 1:00 pm. The day will include:

  • A presentation on the merits of our program by the Program Director
  • Breakout rooms to meet current residents and faculty
  • An evening before Zoom dinner with the residents, including a Grubhub voucher for dinner
